We enjoyed taking our boat on the river. It is a nice site with large, grassy shaded pitches. The facilities were clean. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. Staff organised events for children, which looked good. Some pitches had a wooded shelter with an outdoor kitchen and seating - what a great idea!
We disliked not having toilet seats. We were unable to eat on site as the tables were fully booked. We didn't swim because males needed to wear speedos, which we don't own. Is this rule actually necessary?

The site was very clean and had many amenities for camping. The freezer wasn’t great so it was hard to get ice but they did give us some in the bar which was helpful. The bar is a great amenity to have and the pool Was great too.

Being near to the supermarket and the train station.
They cannot help bad weather but the roads become slippery and potholed. Drainage of toilet and waste water were only in one corner of the site making it inconvenient for lots of pitches. The showers took ages to get warm and being small you got cold being splashed. Little or no information was given about events, activities or site info (such as why and for how long one of the toilet blocks was being closed or access arrangements) unless you were French.
